ARTIST STATEMENT
Art is always on my mind. Even when Im asleep. Its a 24/7 thing.
My Inspiration comes from everywhere. I think something or see something and am compelled to produce an image to express it. I choose one of several styles based on my instinct for what might best express the what im feeling. Thats why I cannot
stick to one style.

I discovered my art interest in high school. I then proceeded to complete my studies in graphic design at New York City Tech and soon after began work at a design studio. Originally a weekend hobby, my interest in photography grew after I retired. People began showing an interest in purchasing my photographs. I developed a creative approach to shooting images of architecture, landscapes, seascapes and nature. My perspective invites the viewer to step into the picture, to experience the serenity of the water on rocky shores, to enjoy the brilliant splash of florals against a backdrop of lush greenery, to be awed by a vibrant sunset brushed with brooding clouds. One well known Dutch artist, Piet Mondrian, influenced my sensitivity toward structure, composition and color that pull the viewer’s eye to the focal point of the image and is evident in my photography. I now live in Summerville, SC, nearby the city of Charleston.

Explore the mystery’s of cultures and the magic of light. The palette is the world. Composition is attained by waiting... waiting for the right inspiration of reflections, nature and people.

ARTIST STATEMENT
The visual artist uses a pictorial language to speak to the world. My work speaks of my life experience and what my sensual memory records. I think of myself broadly as a landscape painter, not in a topographical sense, but rather in a daily interactive sense where the images reflect daily life. Mood, shapes and shadows are important to me. I see them as emotion, content and legacy respectively. You will see a representative sampling on this website.
